NW Iowa Junior Golf Championship

The 2021 Northwest Iowa Junior Golf Championship will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021

Students entering 7th grade to 12th grade who are interested in competition are encouraged to participate in The Northwest Iowa Junior Golf Championship. Any youth golfers who are younger than 7th grade but are ready to gain tournament experience are also encouraged to participate. The 7th-9th grade division plays from the family tees, which is a shorter distance of 2,313 yards for 9 holes. The event brings youth from all across Northwest Iowa to come to Spencer for a great experience. We are working to make this tournament as relevant as being the youth version of the Northwest Amateur. The Northwest Amateur Tournament Committee is helping to run the event to a first-class standard. Tournament Format The format is unique in that most divisions have a “cut” to pair the division leaders together for the finishing holes and determine the winners. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers of each division and ties for these positions will result in a sudden-death playoff. Any juniors who are younger than the 7th grade but are experienced to compete and have the endurance to walk the competition are invited to enter and play!
