NW Iowa Junior Golf Championship

The Annual Northwest Iowa Junior Golf Championship will take place on Monday, June 17th, 2024.  

 

The tournament entry fee is….

 

9 HOLE DIVISIONS

$12.00 for SGCC members 

$20.00 for non-members.

 

18 HOLE DIVISIONS

$12.00 for SGCC members

$25.00 for non-members

Click on the “REGISTRATION FORM” link below to print an entry form, or stop by the golf shop to fill one out and get your youth golfer registered. The event is an outstanding opportunity for youth to experience a tournament. The goal is development, learning and gaining confidence.

 

AGE DIVISIONS
 
The Girls Junior Varsity Division (girls entering 9th grade and younger) will play 9 holes on the back 9 with lunch to follow. This division will play from a marked distance averaging 20% shorter than the Green tee markers (estimated total yardage to be 1,840 yards). Tee times will likely range from 9:30am to 10:00am.
 
The Boys Junior Varsity Division (entering 9th grade and younger) will also be a 9 Hole Tournament, taking place on the Back 9. This division will play from the Green tee markers, usually located at the very beginning of the fairway (Front 9 is 2,313 yards). Tee times will likely range from 8:30am to 9:45am.
 
The Girls Varsity Division (entering 10th grade to 12th grade) will be a 9 Hole Tournament and will begin play on the #1 tee. This division will play from the black tees (Front 9 is 2,731 yards). Tee times will likely range from 8:30am to 8:45am.
 
The Boys Varsity Division (entering 10th grade to 12th grade) is an 18 Hole Tournament and will begin play on the #1 tee. This division will play from the white tees (18 Holes is 6,559 yards). Tee times will likely range from 8:45am to 9:45am.
 

TOURNAMENT RULES
USGA and local rules apply. Please Note: Caddies are not allowed. Parents may communicate briefly in between holes but are not allowed to help the player make any decisions, read greens, carry their bag, etc. Participants must walk the course without the use of a golf car (push carts are allowed). For pace of play, maximum score allowed on a hole will be 10 strokes. Spectators are asked to stay at least 30 yards away from the participants and to be cognizant to not delay the progress of the group in the fairway behind. GPS yardage finders are allowed to be used in tournament. Students must be able to play at their assigned tee time, within the morning tee time range of the tournament.
